Konyaspor announced that young player Mehmet Kaya has transferred to Germany's Sportfreunde Lotte. Mehmet Kaya had played half a season for Konyaspor. He joined Konyaspor during the mid-season transfer of the 2024-2025 season for a fee of 10,000 Euros from Türkspor Dortmund, but only spent half a season there. He had previously spent the first half of last season on loan at 68 Aksaray and mutually terminated his contract with Konyaspor during the winter transfer window. After signing with Orduspor 1967, he left the team after playing just one match. The young defender has signed a one-year contract with his new team, Sportfreunde Lotte, where he will compete in the lower leagues of Germany. Konyaspor will closely monitor Kaya's development.
