Konyaspor has implemented a major restructuring of its football operations. The club has completely abolished the Head of Football Department system and introduced two new roles.
Following a board meeting, it was announced that Tayfun Türkmen has been appointed as Football Coordinator and Ali Camgöz as Deputy for Football. President Ömer Atiker stated, "The Football Department Head structure has been terminated." Atiker added that the aim is "for the club's football organization to become more effective, sustainable and professional."
Tayfun Türkmen will work full-time at the Kayacık Facilities, coordinating between the technical staff, players, and the board of directors. Ali Camgöz will oversee management and administrative processes at the board level. The restructuring aims to eliminate confusion over authority and strengthen the connection between management and the field. Administrative processes will continue under the responsibility of Administrative Manager Hüseyin Bilgin.
This reorganization comes at a critical time for Konyaspor, who sit 15th in the Süper Lig with 4 points from 6 games. The team, with a recent form of one win, one draw, and three defeats (DWLLL) in its last five matches, will host Başakşehir at home on October 11th.
