Konyaspor's goalkeeper coach Yunus Emre Sürmeligöz has successfully completed the UEFA Goalkeeping Coaching A Licence course. The program highlighted modern goalkeeping understanding with comprehensive content. Riva Hasan Doğan Milli Takımlar Kamp ve Eğitim Tesisleri'nde realizado eğitim süreci, modern kalecilik anlayışını geliştirmeye yönelik kapsamlı içerikleriyle öne çıktı. The program was planned in four separate blocks to achieve high-level knowledge and experience in technical, tactical, physical, and psychological development areas for elite goalkeeping coaches. Experienced goalkeeping coaches from Süper Lig and European clubs participated in the training process. The training program covered goalkeeping not only in terms of on-field performance but also decision-making, game creation, psychological resilience, and leadership skills. Participants conducted practical and theoretical studies on various topics such as the role of the goalkeeper in game creation, intervention and defense organization, physical performance measurement and tracking, artificial intelligence-supported analysis technologies, and match scenario-based training designs. UEFA goalkeeping coaching instructors, club coaches, and international experts shared their knowledge and experience. Koen Witters, goalkeeper coach of Belgian club KRC Genk, and Sinan Bolat, former goalkeeper of the Turkish national team, were guest speakers. Participants also gained international perspectives on elite goalkeeper development, player development philosophy, and club academy structures. In the practical part of the program, candidates worked on integrated training models with 'Game Sections' approach. In this process, the goalkeeper's in-game decision-making mechanisms, defense coordination, transition games, and real match scenarios were thoroughly examined. At the end of the course, candidates will have the opportunity to evaluate their performance through video analysis. The development process will be supported based on instructor observations and individual feedback. After the completion of the program, the necessary evaluations will be made for the UEFA Goalkeeping Coaching A Licence approval process, and suitable candidates will be presented to the UEFA authorized committees. TFF evaluates goalkeeper coaching education as a strategic element not only for individual development but also for the overall structure of club football. In this context, the developed education model aims to contribute to the training of goalkeeping coaches who will work at international standards in the future. Konyaspor's goalkeeper coach Yunus Emre Sürmeligöz also participated in the course. Sürmeligöz stated in his statement, 'I would like to thank sayın Martin Thomas hocama, Türkiye Futbol Federasyonu Kaleci Departman Sorumlusu değerli hocam sayın Alper Boğuşlu’ya, sayın Handan Kurga hocama, sayın Özden Öngün hocama, and sayın Emrah Karakovan’a for their valuable contributions and experiences shared with us over the past year.
